Gross Fixed Private Investment
This indicator measures gross fixed capital formation by nongovernment investors, including spending for replacement or net addition to fixed assets (buildings, machinery, equipment, and similar goods). The estimation of this indicator involves taking the difference between gross fixed capital formation (percent of GDP) (NE.GDI.FTOT.ZS) and government capital expenditure (percent of GDP). The latter term is the product of government capital expenditure (percent of total expenditure) (GB.XPK.TOTL.ZS) and total government expenditure (percent of GDP) (GB.XPD.TOTL.GD.ZS).
